Longhope Abbey is a fictional parish in Warwickshire, England, sometime in the late Regency era. The parish is named for the ruins of a medieval abbey. Among the residents of Longhope Abbey are the Larke family, the Lightwell family, and the Bell family, who are friends and neighbors.
Look out for future stories about secondary characters in the books in the main series. Already available is a prequel, following the adventures of a friend of Arabella Larke, immediately preceding Arabella's story in A Dangerous Kind of Lady.
